Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-07

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Stashed, a browser extension ("the Service") provided by the Stashed developer ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using Stashed, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Stashed is a local-first browser extension for saving web pages and finding them again through search, tags, and collections. By default, your data is stored only in your browser and never leaves your device.

Optional Pro features (cloud sync, page archive, search inside saved pages, AI tagging, and daily backup) require signing in and an active subscription or trial, and involve sending data to our backend and to third-party providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

Signing in is optional and is done through Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use to sign in. We receive a standard OpenID token and store your account identifier, email, name, and subscription status. You may stop using the account and sign out at any time.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and trials

4. Refunds

If you are charged in error or are not satisfied, contact us at toomanybit@gmail.com and we will review your request in good faith. Because Creem is the Merchant of Record, refunds are issued through Creem.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that abuses the Service.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the pages, tags, notes, and collections you save ("Your Content"). You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the Pro features you enable — for example, to store and sync Your Content and to send page text to our AI provider to generate tags. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it for advertising.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties for optional features: Convex (backend and database), Google (sign-in), Creem (payments), and an AI provider (currently NVIDIA's hosted models) for tagging. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that archived or synced data will always be preserved. Keep your own backups using the Export feature.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all local data from your browser. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Courts located in India will have jurisdiction over any disputes, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
